Provisional Timetable

Amended timetable  being developed for drivers briefing

Fancy a short drive North on July 23?
Due to our current track works, we are hosting our Winter Challenge event at Wimmera kart Club
Entries are now open at https://portal.karting.net.au/

We are very excited to announce that track construction will shortly commence.
The club has just signed a contract with Begbies Contracting , who will be using the services of Centre State Asphalting. (The same crew who did an excellent job at Wimmera Kart Racing Club)
Wright Civil Engineering have worked closely with Begbies and the grant working group to get the best result for our club.

The track will close for all karting activity from 1 April (AM) until at least 30 June.
The gates will be padlocked during all construction.

Track construction is expected to start shortly after Easter, and is anticipated to take 8-9 weeks.

Despite being Grand Prix weekend, we will need a MAJOR working bee turnout on Saturday 1 April from 8:00am. (BBQ lunch will be provided)
We need this to happen before Easter to make sure the track is ready for contractors to come on site, which will include removing fences and tyres that will enable access to the track.

In October and November last year, we got absolutely smashed by the weather, like most of the state.
Fortunately we didn't go completely under water as did the worst affected clubs and communities.

But we also got smashed financially, with $$$ spent on emergency gravel roadways so the Victorian Country Series could go ahead. This was extremely important when the club hadn't had a major event for 3 long years; cancelling was not an option for the health of the club and its members.

So, an amazing amount of work was put in by the club in the 6 weeks leading up to the event for this to happen.
In 2023, Community Bank Buninyong have supported our club with a Community Investment Grant that makes a huge difference to the expenses from extreme weather.

The roadways and pathways will also benefit the club for future events and construction into the future.
Thankyou Community Bank Buninyong

Over 60 years Ballarat Kart Club has evolved from a small dirt track to a modern sprint kart circuit; and now you can actually watch it evolve.
2023 will see one of the biggest upgrades in the circuit's history after all that's come before. NOTE: Aerial photo dates do not match actual construction years.
Lucky for us, they do happen to be conveniently show change within a few years of each major upgrade.
